As Singapore’s pioneering arts institution, the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) takes pride in being a founding member of the University of the Arts Singapore (UAS). Guided by our core mission to provide access to art education for individuals of all ages, NAFA has established itself as a visionary leader in professional art education and has nurtured thousands of students since its inception in 1938. Our distinguished alumni are trailblazers in the arts and cultural sectors, both locally and globally. NAFA stands out for producing the highest number of recipients of Singapore’s prestigious accolades for excellence in the arts, including 14 Cultural Medallion winners and 15 Young Artist Award recipients. As the only arts institution offering a comprehensive range of educational pathways from early childhood to adulthood, NAFA continuously inspires learning and growth through diverse programs. These include tertiary education, lifelong learning courses at the Centre for Lifelong Education, junior arts classes in the School of Young Talents, and arts-enriched preschool education. This inaugural edition is co-developed by ARTS:DIS and Dr Michael Tan, who is also serving as a mentor.
